I moved my Electronic Arts folder to the Desktop and tried to start the game, but it still crashes to a black screen. 😢 😬

Ok. Have you ever installed any Mods which you had to install into a location other than the Mods folder?
Can you please try the following:
- In your Applications folder right click on the Sims 4 app and select Show Package Contents.
- Navigate to Contents > Mac OS.
- There should be two files in there. Right click on The Sims 4 and select Move to Trash. Don't drag the file as it will only move an alias and leave the original in place. Leave the other file, The Sims 4.par alone.
- Now open Origin, click on The Sims 4 in your Games Library and click on Download.

I installed city living yesterday and the game worked fine but it started crashing this morning. I’ve tried opening offline and repairing the game, which doesn’t work. I just uninstalled and reinstalled the game but it still crashes. Ive also tried removing my cc.
My computer’s specs:

Have you tried my suggestion in the post directly before yours?
