Sims 4 folder on Mac has none of the appropriate data

I am not able to access my save folders in the EA document file. The Sims 4 file ONLY shows add-on content which is all numbered, rather than named. I have tried to locate these files on my desktop while the game was open to no avail. additionally I have already tried restarting my computer and repairing the game, which have also not worked. I am trying to uninstall some game packs, but I can't even identify which packs correlate with which files.
I do not use any CC or mods, and my laptop is updated.
Do not use the new in-built disable packs feature. It is buggy for some Mac users. Instead please:
- Makes sure the game is closed
- Make sure Update games automatically is disabled in EA App > Settings > Download (toggle is off)
- Quit EA App
- Use Crin's excellent guide here to identify the Packs you want to uninstall and then simply trash them from the Sims 4 Packs folder, then empty the trash
