EP16 and SP09 corrupted download on Mac
Hi everyone — posting here because I'm having the same issue after the April 16th patch. My EP16 expansion pack and SP09 stuff pack are both showing as "still downloading" in game, even though my EA account shows them as fully owned and the files are in the correct folders. I've tried everything: cleared EA cache, repaired the game, uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times. Nothing works. So I went into the actual pack folders and checked the file sizes, and here's what I found: EP16: • SimulationFullBuild0.package — 6.6 MB (should be several GB) • SimulationPreload.package — 3.9 MB (should be much larger) SP09: • SimulationFullBuild0.package — 1.1 MB (should be much larger) • ClientFullBuild0.package — 155.7 MB Every single reinstall pulls the exact same undersized files, which tells me EA's servers are serving incomplete files for these two packs specifically. A different pack I purchased around the same time downloaded and works perfectly fine, so this is isolated to EP16 and SP09. I'm on Mac using the EA App. Has anyone else seen this or found a fix? And is there any way to actually reach EA support beyond the forum — there's no live chat available to me.
game packs not showing in game anymore
Hi, i brought/downloaded a couple packs and went to restart the game once downloading finished but for some reason all my downloaded packs have gone. its says on game that they are downloaded just needs to restart. I've tried restarting, uninstall/reinstall both sims4 and EA app, clearing cache, restarting and repairing but nothing is bringing my packs back. any ideas of how to fix this?
No option to load add ons to external drive
Ive only recently started playing sims 4 again and re downloaded all my old games onto my external drive for my Mac. The download went fine and the game runs well. The issue is that I bought the university expansion pack and went to manage my add ons and it was available for download but there were not options to change the location of the download to my external drive and it claimed that did not have the base game (because it isn't on my hard drive). All my other add ons downloaded automatically with the initial download.Help!
The Sims 4 unusable on Mac since forced Origin → EA App migration
I am a macOS user and I previously played The Sims 4 without any issues on Origin. EA forced the migration from Origin to the EA App, and since that change I have not been able to play the game at all. The Sims 4 is permanently stuck at “Updating 8% / Preparing 129 GB” and never completes. The update cannot be cancelled, and the EA App eventually throws errors (including error code 108). I have already tried all standard troubleshooting steps: - Reinstalling the EA App - Clearing EA App cache and support files - Reinstalling The Sims 4 - Restarting macOS multiple times - Testing on a brand-new macOS user account - Confirming a stable internet connection The exact same issue happens even on a clean user profile. This confirms the problem is not my Mac, but the EA App for macOS. The game worked before on Origin. Since being forced onto the EA App, the product I paid for is no longer usable. Is EA aware of this issue on macOS, and is there an official fix or workaround? At this point, the EA App is preventing access to content I already purchased.My worlds completely reset
Hi! So I purchased the Adventure Awaits and the Enchanted Nature packs a few days ago. When I went on to resume my game, all of the worlds reset, townies included. All of my builds, Renos, etc. are just gone and back to when you start a new game. The last household I was playing was still there, in the house I built for that, but everything else completely reset. All of my mods/ cc show up normally if that's in question. Anyone else encounter this issue and or know if I can fix it?
