Sims 4 Freezes!

I recently bought the new Apple Macbook Pro with the M1 chip. I was able to successfully download Sims 4 including all the expansion packs etc. I have the latest Origin and Sims 4 is updated with all the updates I can do. When I go and try to create a sim, it freezes when it goes in detail mode. For example: I'll click on the face of the sim and it just freezes? It does this each time and I have to reboot my Macbook each time. I've tried to "repair" the game, reinstall Origin and all of Sims 4 and it does the same thing. I don't know what else I can do and I've tried contacting EA via the phone and they are not aware of this bug. Does anyone know how I can fix this issue?
