Sims 4 game won't start, blank white pop-up

Hi! I keep having this issue where when I open the game on EA, it immediately goes to a black screen with a white pop-up box in the middle (see attachment), and I can no longer press anything on that page because my mouse turns into the loading wheel, causing me to have to force close the game. Ive tried taking out mods, taking out the whole file, deleting the whole file, repairing the sims game, deleting and reinstalling the sims game, and deleting and reinstalling the EA app. Help!

Can you set up a new user account on your Mac and see if you can play in that account. Don’t set up iCloud, just a really basic admin account.

Hi! Thank you for replying! When I mention the files, I mean the Electronic Arts and The Sims 4 files on my macbook. Thank you for sending that link, I followed the steps that I had not already tried, yet no success, still immediately getting that frozen white pop-up as soon as the sims opens.

So I set up the new user and tried to download EA, but my computer wouldnt let me open the app at all so I made the decision to restart my computer and that seemed to have somewhat worked. I still get a couple seconds of the white pop up but it goes away and the sims game begins afterwards. Thank you for your help!

Great! Is your Mac an Apple silicon machine (M series) or older Intel? Asking because if it is Apple silicon restarting it helps reset the NVRAM which may have been the issue. https://support.apple.com/en-gb/102539

Would be interesting to know what that white popup window is though. If it ever populates any content please do come back with a screenshot 🙂

It seems as though my mac is an older one, if im correct because it is a 2017. That is interesting, I didnt know. And yeah! If I ever happen to figure out why the pop-up shows up or it becomes a problem again I'll come back! Thanks again!
