Sims 4 Mac Graphical Glitches - Rainbow Artifacts

Recently, I have been experiencing a graphics issue on my MacBook Pro where the whole screen will flash rainbow colors for a split second once or multiple times in a row. It most commonly happens in CAS and when switching between Live mode/Build mode. It also sometimes tends to happen when swiping between the desktop and the full-screened game. I've attached an image of what happens when the screen flashes.

The glitch does not occur when in windowed mode or with the low graphics presets, but before now this glitch never happened and the game ran smoothly in fullscreen with the medium graphics preset. The last time that I played the Sims 4 on my MacBook where it was functioning properly was probably around summer or fall of last year. I typically play on my PC so I have not checked to see if this has also occurred on any of the patches since last fall.

Sims 4 Version: 1.69.59.1220

Mods & CC: This glitch occurs both with and without mods and CC enabled.

It's quite common unfortunately with those model Macs. Playing in windowed mode seems to be the only fix. You could try repairing your game, see if that helps.
