Sims 4 Mods folder not showing

So I’ve been playing sims 4 basically since it was released on the same Mac as I am now. Only now have I started diving into mods and CC. When researching how to install the content, I noticed my sims application didn’t have a mods folder. All I’ve been able to find is people saying to start playing the game and it will show up or enable script content and allow mods and CC in the in game options (which I’ve done) but still no mods folder. Does anyone have any idea what’s going on??

Mods/CC are installed in Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 > Mods and not in the actual app that you have posted a screenshot of.

Is your game loading saves? If so please launch the game and click on load game then hover over one of the households to see the file path:

Please post that file path here. Your Mods will be in the same Sims 4 folder as your saves. If a Mods folder is not showing but your saves are loading please enable Mods and CC in the in-game options.

  • I have the same thing. The only thing is I can’t find Electronic Arts anywhere on my Mac including the Documents folder.

It is there though, your screenshot proves it. Don't do a search, it is hidden from searches for some reason. When you open your Documents folder the EA folder will be in there.
  • @TimeLordDemigod6 hey I just downloaded the game on Origin and on Mac like you, and have the same problem: I have an electronic arts folder but no Mods folder that is supposed to appear automatically with the "resource.cfg" file enabling them. Were you able to sort out the problem? 😕
  • Yeah I did! I had to do some searching through my documents folder without searching for it in the search bar. I found the EA folder a few years back and clicked in there. The mods folder should be in there
