No, I haven’t repaired it since moving the folder. But I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled since then. Would you recommend repairing despite it being freshly installed?
Edited to Add: I should mention I have yet to restart my MacBook. Should I also try this before I repair?
I ended up closing origin and reloading, which led to today’s patch downloading and ALL of my newly installed packs (all 72 of them) updating. I had to click through so many “ready to play” popups, and I’ve never seen this happen before. Despite all that, it didn’t work.
But then I restarted my PC post-reinstall and got it up and running. I moved my saves, tray and screenshots back in and a few mods and some stuff seems to be working. But now I’m experiencing freeze issues so I just had to Force Quit. Either way, I can open the game again now so I’ll figure the rest out in my own time! Thanks 🙂

Great 🙂 Sounds like you have incompatible Mod issues since the patch. The Game & Mod Issues forum is the place to post and there are maintained stickied Mod tracking threads for you to check which Mods are broken and require updating - https://answers.ea.com/t5/Game-and-Mod-CC-Issues/bd-p/the-sims-4-game-issues-mods-en- YazPlatt2 years agoSeasoned Adventurer
Really? I could open my game as normal when I had the mods installed at first. I only started experiencing launch issues after I removed the mods completely. Then when I made a fresh game I even uninstalled and reinstalled the base game and all packs, making a fresh game and it wouldn’t open. I wouldn’t have thought that was a mod issue when I technically no longer had a mods folder at that point. The fix for me seemed to be a system restart, some sort of issue with my MacBook.
I will check out the forum but I doubt it was the cause. I have a couple of UI mods that I check for updates almost weekly, and small bug fix type things that I monitor too. Better exceptions usually tells me when something is outdated or conflicting. Thanks again, I’ll check it out.
