Does The Sims 4 have Full Disk Access in System Settings > Privacy & Security?
The problem now is that it is taking up to much memory
Please can you elaborate on this? Are you referring to RAM or internal storage? Are you seeing any error messages, either EA App, TS4 or macOS? If so please post a screenshot.
