sims 4 not updating fully.

my sims 4 game hasn't been updating fully and Im not sure how to resolve it. it will get to about 95% complete with the new June update and then read a error code that states that the update can be preformed due to a access denied  and if the issue persist to visit the help page. hence why im here now, ever tried deleting "dodgy" custom content incase that's what's causing the game to freak out and I've had no luck. all the files I delete keep repairing in my sims 4 game folder and honestly no clue what to do I just want my sims to work
