Hi, I just saw this looking for an answer to a similar issue and I found that when I installed the sims 4 and transferred it to my ssd it kept the folder for the sims 4 saved on my laptop and I copied all of my mod files into the Mods folder saved on my laptop and they've now appeared in the load-up so I'm assuming that's worked fine. I know I'm quite late to this message but hope it helps all the same 🙂
