sims 4 won't load up fully

Okay, so I just tried playing sims 4 after month (i last played in April) and it's not working. My screen loads up until this point (picture below) and I can't click load or new game. Even the option button won't work. I uninstalled and re-downloaded it again, but nothing is working. When i first loaded it up it was in windowed mode then i switched to full screen and it started doing that. However, I got it back to windowed mode thinking that would help but still nothing!  Anyone know how to fix it?

    Move your Sims 4 folder to the desktop from Documents > Electronic Arts and try a new, clean game. This will reset the graphics options in-game too. Play using the default ones for a while, if you can, then change them and see if it causes the issue again. I can see you're running Big Sur which the game runs fine in but lots of updates to the game plus an OS update may have caused the game to panic 🙂
