Sims 4 Won't Open (Mac)

I've had the game for several months now, and all was fine. But after the recent update, by Sims 4 game won't open. Origin works fine, and I am still able to click on the game. It goes to open sims, then the screen goes black, and just comes up with a report saying that the app unexpectedly closed. 

I've uninstall it and reinstalled it again (which took about 8 hours to do), and it still won't open.

Please help!

    @Laurenyoung001,

    You may have a faulty mod in your CC. CC is not made by Maxis and it can trigger issues with the game, that's why Maxis does not recommend using it.

    You need to test your CC in small groups until you find your faulty mod/mods

    I'm having the same problem, and I do have a lot of CC. Will I have to remove it all?

    Hi @NadiaBeukes,

    CC is Custom Content, like hair, clothes, furniture... downloaded from the Internet and created by fans.

    So how to get it work again, because it really sucks to not being able to play ... maybe someone can give a step by step Information, how to make it work. 

    And I did uninstall it before and also origin, now I'm curious to see how it's fixed

    hi, so, I'm having this issue too.  I have several mods, but even if I remove them, it still doesn't launch. I'm using TS4 on Mac, and I'm not even getting an error message. It's just not responding. The screen goes black, and then I'm back to my desktop. I've tried going to EA for help, but the guy I talked to had no idea what to do.
