Sims 4 won't work after latest patch (august 2021)

Hello.

My game has been running smoothly with no problem at all but since the latest patch (Mac 1.78.58.1230) my game keeps crashing. I can start the game and get into my household but after a few minutes or second the game freezes and a rainbowcolored circle appears. I can still move around with the camera but I can't click anywhere and I have to force quit the game. At first I tried removing all my mods and CC but it made no difference, I even uninstalled the game but the problem was still there after I installed it again. 

My full specs are: 

macOs Big Sur 11.5.2
MacBook Pro (Retina, 13 tum, late 2013)
2,4 GHz Intel Core i5
8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
Intel Iris 1536 MB

I've tried to get in contact with EA support with no luck, does anybody know what causes the problem?
