No sorry, I can't find a lastcrash report

That’s odd, if it’s crashing there should be one.
If you’ve uninstalled and reinstalled and tried a brand new clean vanilla game with no previous saves, settings, tray items and other previous user data then not sure what the problem could be.
Maybe your 8-year old Mac is starting to struggle as more content is added to the game and the requirements increase?

Yes thats possible but I had no problem with the game before the new patch. Is there anyway to uninstall the patch? Seems a bit odd that the game would be unplayable after the latest patch update which wasn’t a big one if I’m not wrong?

No way of rolling back to a previous patch unfortunately. There do seem to also be some improvements to the game that aren't in the patch notes sometimes. I wouldn't read the patch notes as gospel and assume they are the only changes that have been made.
