sims not launching

Every time I go to press play on my ea game for sims it begins to load then it stops randomly however on my game history it says ive played. I have no mods or cc ive restarted my laptop and ea, logged out and then back in. I have 3 packs and that's it. This has been going on for about a month now and its very long help please
