hey! thank you so much for your help, by slowly putting each folder into my Mods folder i found out there was a duplicate of my game mods folder in my custom content folder. thanks!

Do you use Mods? Please move out the Sims 4 folder from Documents > Electronic Arts to your desktop. Launch the game and create a new Sim, place them and play for a few minutes to see if the issue is fixed. Quit the game but don’t bother saving. How is it? All your saves are safe in the folder you moved, don’t panic! 🙂

@Bluebellflora ok! I did what you said and in the new game the issue was fixed. So I put my Mods folder back into Electronic Arts and loaded up one of my older games, but the issue wasn't fixed.

Great! Can you please move your Mods folder out but leave your saves in. Load up your game and see how it is. Don't save when you quit.

You said that you put your Mods folder back into the Electronic Arts folder (I'm assuming you meant the Sims 4 folder within the EA folder) and loaded up one of your old saves but the issue was apparent again. I'm asking you to move that Mods folder back out of the Sims 4 folder, but to leave your old save in there.

I suspect the problem is caused by an incompatible Mod(s) so I'd like you to launch a saved game without any Mods.

You need to figure out which Mod is causing it, most probably a UI Mod. Move your mods back into the Mods folder in small batches, loading up the game to see if it's still ok after each batch. When you see the problem again you know that the mod is in the last batch you added.

@Bluebellflorai do have an UI Mod, so maybe that’s what’s causing that. I’ll take it out then see if it’s causing the problem. Thank you!
