Troubles saving households to the library–help!

Hi! I'm not new to the sims world, but I am new to playing the sims 4. I'm having tremendous amounts of trouble saving my households to the library. I've looked up and down for solutions, but nothing has worked.

I followed someone's tutorial of saving the household to the library in CAS, and it didn't work. I've tried uploading to the gallery and THEN saving it to my library and it only worked once. I've uploaded a few households to the gallery, and they aren't popping up there, either. Now none of my saved households are showing up in any new games I create, even the one I was able to previously save when I uploaded it to the gallery and downloaded it to my library.

Not too sure what to do now, so I'm begging for help–how do I save anything to my library??

TL;DR: I cannot for the life of me figure out how to save a sims 4 household to the library. Please speak to me like I'm 5 y/o and walk me through what I'm doing wrong LOL.

    @Bluebellflora I FIGURED IT OUT!!!!!!
    I didn't have the "show custom content" button selected when looking in the gallery/library. Now that it's selected, everything is showing up as it should. Who knew it was that simple, if it was a snake it would've bitten me hahaha

  • @fridgepenn  What platform are you playing on: Windows, Mac, Playstation, or XBox?  If you have a Windows PC or a Mac, do you use a third-party antivirus, and if so, which one?  If you change an in-game graphics option, for example switching to windowed mode rather than fullscreen, does that change stick, or has the game reverted once you quit and reload?

    Sorry, forgot to mention that I play on Mac! I don't play with any antivirus software. I can't really think of a time I've changed an in-game graphics option, but everything looks the same when I reopen the game.

    Edit: I just reloaded the game and I see a family I uploaded to the gallery in my "showcase" tab. However, It's not in my library or in the gallery, even when you search my gallery ID.

    I just checked, and it doesn't look like anything was being uploaded to my iCloud storage. I'm unsure of where to go at this point LOL

    To give some more insight, I tried uploading a family to the gallery. It said the family was uploaded, but it's not in the gallery anywhere. I've searched for it myself and had someone else search to make sure it's not just my computer whizzing out on me–neither of us can find it. The only place it shows up is in the "showcase" section when I hit the gallery button in game. I've searched the family name, my EA account ID, and everything else under the sun to find the family in the gallery. So it doesn't look like the family posted publicly which cool, but I still don't know what the deal is and why my library/gallery function isn't working.

    My main issue is that I like to go in and edit the pre-made families and give them CC makeovers, and I like to carry those updated households around to each new game I create. I also like to place my other handmade households into games sometimes. I remember in the sims 3, you just had to save (maybe duplicate) the family and then you could import them into any game you wanted. Seems like I'm jumping through hoops to get that feature again unless I'm just missing a piece of the puzzle LMAO
