Unable to start: The Sims 4 is already running - Mac only

If you're experiencing this error message it doesn't mean your game is already running, the actual message itself is incorrect. It means The Sims 4 cannot access the Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 fold...

@Bluebellflora In the applications folder and I simply delete every document as well as the application itself.

Sorry but you're going to have to be more specific when trying to troubleshoot.

To properly remove the game you should be uninstalling it through Origin:

When you say "I simply delete every document" which documents are you referring to? Please be very specific.

    @Bluebellflora There is the "Electronic Arts" folder with "The sims 4" and the folder "The sims 4 packs"
