I bought the game june 2016 and I've never been able to open it, since origin keeps telling me that "the sims 4 is already running" with the errorcode:

I've already tried reinstalling origin and resetting it. I've checked my task manager and it is not running. I've gotten a new macbook (the touchbar one) and it still tells me that the sims 4 is already running. Help me, please

I've been running The Sims 4 for quite awhile, and I keep getting an error on my Macbook that says Sims 4 is already running. I'll try to attach a picture. So... it happened back when I was running OS Ventura, and I can't remember what I did to fix it. I've uninstalled both origin and TS4, and all the expansions, and then reinstalled them. I have verified the files and everything is verified and good.
