@Bluebellflora hi so i did the instructions provided but the game still says it is already running. I have honestly tried everything at this point but nothing is working. I have uninstalled both sims and origins. created a new account. moved the files to my desktop and still nothing has worked.
any idea what i could do to fix this?

That is Origin, not the game. You've denied it permission to access your Documents folder which is why it isn't working.
Is your Mac user account and administrator account or standard? Is it a school or work computer?
