And again, is your Mac account an administrator account or standard account?
I don’t need to know what you do on your Mac, just whether it was supplied to you, in which case it may have restrictions, or it is your own personal device.

@Bluebellflora i am running macOS 14.1.2 and i purchased it myself meaning i have a standard account

You need to be running an Administrator account to allow permissions https://support.apple.com/en-gb/guide/mac-help/mchl3e281fc9/mac
At this point you should uninstall the game then reinstall it and make sure to allow all permissions to access folders when prompted. - 2 years ago@Bluebellflora my account is running an administrator account, i have just looked. I have uninstalled both the game and origin and it still says that the game is already running.

Your problem is the game not having access to the Documents folder. You need to figure out why your operating system isn’t prompting you for this when you reinstalled the game and ran it for the first time after installation. - 2 years ago@Bluebellflora how do i figure this out?
