Unable to start: The Sims 4 is already running - Mac only

If you're experiencing this error message it doesn't mean your game is already running, the actual message itself is incorrect. It means The Sims 4 cannot access the Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 fold...

It's definitely the sims 4 - I guess that error message has been around for a while then.
It wasn't the graphics or anything like that. Something wrong with the files...
EA left me to hang and hung up on my multiple times until I got right pissed and fixed it by my damn self.
If anyone wants to know how I did it, I'll let em know. But I don't wanna help this whack site that couldn't help me...

      Hi, I haven't played the sims4 in about a year and tried to load it today. It is coming up with the error message that the sims is already running. I have tried everything redownloading origin, re-downloading the sims, updating my Mac and just don't know what else I can do. I have tried to find my EA folder in the documents but can't find that anywhere even after using the repair tool so now I am completely stuck. Any help will be appreciated as id love t start playing the sims again.
