Unable to start: The Sims 4 is already running - Mac only

I did create a symlink but I deleted my documents folder completely both the one in documents and the one had in my hard drive and a new one hasn’t been made since I can’t get the game to start. The mod manager has access to my documents folder and removable volumes .

I did that after I started getting the sims is still running btw (deleting the electronic arts folder)
