Why does my computer say this? Unable to start: The Sims™ 4 is already running. [ed35e0ea:29f00e76:00000000:18a1dd51]

I have uninstalled and reinstalled The Sims 4 and all my packs and restarted my computer multiple times, and looked at other forums, and nothing has worked. I am on Mac If anyone could help me out or give me any pointers, that would be great.
