Hi everyone,
Thanks for all the info you've provided to us so far on this. We are still hoping to get more information to help with our investigation into these reports.
The Sims team is still looking for some examples of files they can review to help determine what might be causing this. If you are willing to share the contents of your Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 4 folder with the team, please follow the steps at this link for more details on how you can pass them along to The Sims team.
If you're also able to share any of the information that EA_Leeuw previously requested, that would also be really helpful:
We're looking into this issue and need your help. If you're still experiencing problems after repairing the game or switching your EA app to Offline Mode, please let us know. 👇
❗❗ First things first: Are you still experiencing the issue in a clear 'vanilla' game? Please follow the steps here on how to check this by renaming the The Sims 4 folder.
Have you tried an EA app Recovery? You can find more details on how to run the App Recovery option at this EA Help article.
Do you have any Sims 4 mods or custom content installed?
*If so, please remove them (including the localthumbscache.package file in \Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4), repair the game, and try again. Let us know how it goes.

*Edit: if you can't open the client, you can't check this. That's okay!
Please share an EA app Error Reporter ID here in the thread:
Please share a recently created lastCrash.txt file and attach it to your post (you can find this file in \Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 if it exists):
*Edit: if you can't find it or there is no recently created file, you can leave this out.
Also, we did want to see if anyone has had the chance to try launching the game with no internet connection active on your device. If you're able to give it a shot, please disconnect your Mac from the internet and try launching The Sims 4. Let us know if you are still running into any of the same issues.
Thank you!
