Unsupported video card mac

Hi, so I wanted to play the Sims4 today but I got an error message saying that my video card doesn't meet the requirements and the game won't even start. I played the Sims4 on this computer before and had no problems (never crashed, no lagging, etc.). Last time I played was the 4th of december 2021. Since then i made a factory reset on my iMac and re-downloaded origin and the Sims4. I think that my video card does meet the necessary requirements and my computer is not old enough yet to run the legacy edition, but I'm note really tech savvy so what do I know. How can I resolve this? Here are my mac specs :

iMac late 2012,

macOs Catalina 10.15.7,

Processor: 2.9 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i5

Memory: 16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3

graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M 512MB

Yep, you should be able to play the current version of the game as your Mac supports Metal. Have you tried repairing the game? Please also run the Origin reset tool then try again.
