[WORKAROUND] 11.17.20 patch - game won't stop loading

I play on a Mac - My game did today’s update to fix the crashing and now it won’t load at all! Was waiting up to 10 mins and it was just stuck on the loading screen. I took off all my mods and still ...

    In the Origin app, right-click on the gear icon next to the Play button and select "Repair".

Since yesterday’s update, I can open the Sims 4 but when I click on to load a saved game, I am stuck on the plumbob loading page. It usually only takes around 5 seconds on my MacBook Air but it is stuck on this loading page now. Help!
