In the Origin app, right-click on the gear icon next to the Play button and select "Repair".
Since the patch today, I can't get to manage worlds. I can get to the main menu just fine, but after I select a save it just stays on the loading screen forever. I waited for 20 minutes. I then tried removing my mods folder, no change. I made a backup of my game and reset to factory settings. That allowed me to get to the world select menu, but it was blank, just the words "Residential Worlds" at the top with no icons to select.
(This is more worrying due to the fact that I have all but two packs (Journey to Batuu & Grim's Ghoulish Guitar) and so there should be a whole other icon in the top left to select vacation worlds as well.)
I did try and transfer my old tray files/saves/screenshots/other things you are supposed to transfer to the new factory reset but that didn't work any better than the plain factory reset. I would really like to be able to play, is there a fix for this? If the factory reset is fixed, is there one that doesn't involve me losing everything I've made in the last five years?
@lipsticklezzie Does your computer run Windows or macOS?
I'm on a Mac.
