[WORKAROUND] 11.17.20 patch - game won't stop loading

I play on a Mac - My game did today’s update to fix the crashing and now it won’t load at all! Was waiting up to 10 mins and it was just stuck on the loading screen. I took off all my mods and still ...

    In the Origin app, right-click on the gear icon next to the Play button and select "Repair".

I'm having the same problem! I can't get my game to close either, so it's just running in the background, still stuck on the loading screen. Does anyone know how to at least close it so it stops using all my battery? 😬 Force quit isn't working and I can't shut my computer down -- I just get a popup saying The Sims 4 is preventing my computer from shutting down. I've just tried to repair it in Origin as well, but the repair is stuck at "finalizing." Does anyone know what I can do to fix this issue, or at least just get my game to close? Thank you in advance! 🙂
