[WORKAROUND] 11.17.20 patch - game won't stop loading

I play on a Mac - My game did today’s update to fix the crashing and now it won’t load at all! Was waiting up to 10 mins and it was just stuck on the loading screen. I took off all my mods and still ...

    In the Origin app, right-click on the gear icon next to the Play button and select "Repair".

Greetings Darko, I'm suffering from a very similar issues on my MacBook as well, with the exception of the Sims4 application being frozen in between the loading process from the "Main Menu" and "Managing Worlds". I'm unable to "Force Quit" the application, and my laptop will not restart without exiting out of the application. I also tried the link above and completed all the steps yet the application has been stuck "open". What should I do?

So, yesterday I tried starting my sims game and starting it up took a little longer than usual but it still started. Then I tried opening my save and it just kept loading and never started up. I tried taking out all my mods and saves and then when I started it and tried making a new save it got stuck on when I tried to choose the world to live in instead. It said “choose world to live in” but there were no worlds to choose from... 

I would be very grateful if someone could help me and tell me what’s going on because I have no idea what to do next.
