64 bit or 32 bit?

I just got a new computer that is a 64 bit. I ran my laptop through a diagnosis to see if it meet the recommendation for the sims 4. Everything did. So I ran the game and when it came on it open the message below. I know I have over 4gb because it's a new computer and I know it's a 64 bit. What's wrong and what one should I run?

Your DxDiag says you have 4 GB of RAM, not more than that, so 32 bit is the better choice

I thought all you needed was 4 GB of ram. So how much ram is needed to run 64 bit on the sims 4?

It's not what you need but if you only have 4 GB, 64 bit is obsolete. With 64 bit the game can use more 4 GB of RAM. If you only have 4 GB, that advantage is gone and it's better to run it in 32 bit.

So, for 64 bit, I recommend at least 6 GB of RAM
