what if just making a new folder doesn't work?
Hi @simmercutie1,
Creating the folder is not enough as you need a file resource.cfg inside your folder for mods to work.
If it's missing, the Mods folder and resource file will be regenerated by the game the next time you open your game. Once the game has created the Mods folder and the resource file inside it, you can install your games as usual.

I also deleted my mods file to regenerate since resource.cfg was corrupted and not letting my CC work. I opened my game, played for a bit and quit but the mods file had not regenerated. Please help me ☹️. Thanks

You can check where the game saves your files by looking in your Game Options - Screenshot settings.
Can you please copy the path above and paste it in an answer here?
