My screen wasn't loading and now my saves and uploaded content is gone

i have 2 problems. 1, my sims will only load to a black screen. only after turning the monitor off and back on, does it play regularly. sometimes i press a button and it still goes black. i8 have tried everything. no mods at all, uninstalled and reinstalled the sims, then the ea app, then moved to steam and redownloaded again. everything is up to date on my computer and i have tried everything. this is the absolute worst customer service i have ever experienced. in trying to clear things out, i took out my save and put it in another folder, but now its gone. everything i have ever uploaded to the gallery is gone and ea refuses to help me

    lookitsilli​  Are you saying that your saves and other user files have disappeared from your computer, or just that you can't see them in-game?  For the missing content, please see this guide:

    If you need further help with that part, let me know what you found when you searched for the files.

    For the black screen, please provide a dxdiag.  Click Windows key-R, enter dxdiag in the run box, wait for the scan to finish, click "Save all information," and save the file to your desktop.  From there, you can attach it to a reply using the paper clip (Attachment) icon included with the other formatting buttons.
