accidentally open package file with internet explorer

went to download a mod https://nieswillsneeze.tumblr.com/post/185725408829/sims-4-replace-water-off-grid-mod-nies it didn't extract when i download it. i accidentally open it with internet explore...

I have done this myself, and resetting default app settings as mentioned earlier in the feed hasn't worked. I need to some how revert the .program file back as an unassigned "Open With" program.

Also deleting, and redownloading the zip folder doesn't do anything either.
