Newest May Update Causing Crashes and Freezing

After the newest may update, I cannot even get past the blue loading screen where it tells you hints about the sims. I have done everything. I moved out the mod folder, i cleared cache, I repaired, i switched to high performance, and still can't get my game to go past that screen. I wait 5-10 minutes and nothing the screen and words just sit their after the green sims logo disappears. So frustrating because I just got this new laptop and just got every mod and cc back in. And finally ready to play and can't... Anyone else?

Same here! I'll start playing, and then the game freezes, in game time will freeze, but sounds keep going. Then I'll have to close the game without saving...

  • Blackkitty2396 Nasu06  If you haven't already, please move the entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop.  When you launch the game, a clean folder will spawn with no content.  (Your saves and other content will be intact in the folder you've moved but temporarily unread by the game.)  Don't add anything to the new folder yet; just start a new save and see how it runs, that is if you can get that far.

If that doesn't or didn't help, please provide a dxdiag.  Click Windows key-R, enter dxdiag in the run box, wait for the scan to finish, click "Save all information," and save the file to your desktop.  From there, you can attach it to a reply using the paper clip (Attachment) icon included with the other formatting buttons.
