Accidentally opened package file with notepad
i downloaded the sims 4 time speed changer mod and i accidentally opened the package file with notepad. now the mod doesnt work in my game. ive also tried to redownloading the mod but it doesnt work

If you didn't change anything, it shouldn't matter.
Are you sure it's still compatible with the game ? Did it work before you opened it ?
If you use other mods are they still working?
Have you checked that mods are still enabled in the game options (they get disabled automatically after game updates)?
Did you delete the file you opened and then re-downloaded or saved over it ?
You probably have package files associated with the notepad now but that shouldn't matter for it to work with the game.
The other package files should also be associated with the notepad now. Are they not ?
Could you post a pic of your mods folder ?

All of my custom content are organized and they work
Except the date and time note. Thats the mod,
When the mod used to work i used to extract it to my mods folder, i did it with the note but it didnt work
