after recent patch (9/20/21) live mode will not work?

I currently cannot enter live mode to play in game with my sims. when I try it takes me back to the worlds overview, no matter what household I try to use. I can build and use CAS but that's it.

I've updated my mods: that did not work.

I've removed my mods: that also did not work.

I've removed my mods and repaired my game in origin: THAT DID NOT WORK.

I fear my next step is to uninstall and reinstall my entire game and i've been working on some of my save files since 2016. i also have tons of builds and households i'll lose unless i upload them to the gallery because tracking down their separate files is such a tedious task. i don't really want others having access to these households or builds because they're not finished or very personal for private LPs. can someone please help me figure out what to do? how do I go about finding household, build, and save files?

    @iiaziineii  Your saves, builds, and other user content are stored in the Sims 4 folder in Documents\Electronic Arts.  This folder can be backed up and moved elsewhere, then put back when you want.  So you if you do uninstall and reinstall the game, just back up or move this folder, and restore it after you've confirmed that everything works correctly after reinstalling.

    However, before you reinstall, try moving this Sims 4 folder and playing in a new one.  You won't have access to your saves or other content, since the game can't read the folder if it's not in Documents\Electronic Arts, but you won't have deleted anything.  Just test a new save and see whether you can get to live mode.  If you can't, then go ahead and try uninstalling and reinstalling.

    If live mode works in the clean Sims 4 folder, you can start moving your saves and other content from the old folder to the new one and testing.
