All of My CCs Don't Show Up
My downloaded CCs all show up in the confirmation list when I first open the game but no matter what I do none of them appear in build mode ever since the February 12th update. I have tried quite literally everything. I have tried turning the CC options on and off again in the settings, restarting the game each time. I have tried renaming the mods folder to make it auto make a new one and transferred the mods back again. I have removed onedrive from my computer sync. I have reset the game cache. I have completely removed the sims 4 folder from the EA folder and wiped my game. All of the files are the correct kind and none of them are in organizational folders within the mods folder that may disrupt it. It's not even just one file that I can troubleshoot to pick out, it's all of them. played on February 8th and it was fine then played again on the 17th and everything stopped working. I do not get it. At all.
Please do this exact sequence of steps for me, even if it feels repetitive with what you did before:
- Use this method to ensure you're in the right user folder, not in one that looks right but isn't what the game is currently seeing: https://sims4.crinrict.com/eng/2018/07/how-to-find-your-user-folder/ Copy that full path down.
- Navigate to that folder; double check against the path you copied.
- Now go one up, drag the folder to your desktop, and rename it.
- Next run a Game Repair.
- Now start the game and exit.
- Navigate to the exact same file path you wrote down, and into the Mods folder.
- Download one new CC item. I usually use recent CC by peacemaker for this because I 100% know I can trust those files.
- Install the newly downloaded CC in the Mods folder you navigated to.
- Start the game, select NEW (there should be nothing you could load otherwise), and look for the CC you downloaded.
