Hey, i'm new to origin
I downloaded the Sims last night on my macbook. I keep getting the same error message
I have:
repaired the game
deleted cach files
cant even open the game so i have no creative content
Tried to change around the "bit" but couldnt find the option?
It's nice knowing this is happening to a lot of people because at this point it feels like I got scammed. Not trying to be rude, just many many hours of trying to open this game. Please help
oh sorry just realized theres a Mac forum, ill head over there

- crinrict6 years agoHero+@tootienoop How does it not work ? Are you getting any error messages ?
@sheryl380 What happens if you start the game ? Nothing at all ? Any errors ? - 6 years ago
On 64-bit I don't get any messages or certain errors other than it opening for 3 seconds then closing without saying anything and sometimes nothing occurs when I attempt to open the game
On 32-bit/legacy I have no errors whatsoever

@sheryl380 Please run a dxdiag and attach it to a post.

Here, I think I did it right:
- crinrict6 years agoHero+@sheryl380 What issues do you have ? You don't need the legacy edition.

Earlier last month I was forced to download the legacy version and was unable to get the original game back despite my system meeting the requirements, and when I attempt to open the regular game it closes right away or just doesn't open. I'm not sure if I missed an update since then or it has something to do with my mods, but I still can't open the 64-bit game.
Sorry, I replied a bit late to another reply. But I haven't really opened the game since then.
- crinrict6 years agoHero+@sheryl380 Did you check if 64 bit is selected in Origin as described on the first page ?
It sounds like you have some other issue that's preventing the game from opening.
Could you try repairing your game and see if it now loads (after making sure that 64 bit is selected)
