Hello! Thank you so much for all of the information. I am wanting to play other games as well as The Sims 4 (Borderlands 3, Red Dead Redemption 2, ect) smoothly and with amazing graphics quality. I also want it to be able to handle upcoming updates/expansions and future games in general. I want to stream my gaming and use the laptop for everyday use as well such as for checking emails and social media, watching movies and uusing software to make music and mix with a DJ controller. I've raised my budget and am thinking of going for one of these two...

@xoGeorgi Those would both work very well. There are plenty of laptops in that price range with an Nvidia 2060 though, if you want more options. For example:
(I didn't comparison shop this time, since I don't know exactly what you're looking for, but there are other available options similar to those as well.)
For Borderlands 3 and RDR 2, an Nvidia 2060 will be fine. But just so you're aware, you probably wouldn't get the high framerates you might want. In Borderlands 3, a 2060 mobile should be able to maintain 60 fps on ultra settings at a 1920x1080 resolution, but it doesn't get over 100 fps until you drop down to medium settings. For RDR2, a 2060 mobile would likely have fps in the 50s on ultra settings, although the game apparently still looks incredible on high settings. That's not to say you need a more powerful card, just that you might need to make some compromises for the newest AAA games.

Well I'm looking for a laptop that will be able to handle running a few different games on smoothly, with amazing graphics quality (The Sims 4 with all expansions on ultra settings, Borderlands 3, Red Dead Redemption 2, ect) and will hopefully be able to handle upcoming uodates/expansions and future games. @xoGeorgi This laptop is very nice, for sure, and it should perform up to the standards of its hardware. The thing is, a 2070 Max-Q is not much faster than a 2060 Mobile overall, and can even be a bit slower at times; it depends to a significant extent on the game. Max-Q means the card is set for maximum efficiency and minimum thermal output, but running cooler and more efficiently has a significant performance cost. So you'd be paying significantly more than for a 2060 without getting a proportional gain in performance.
On the other hand, laptops with a 2070 Mobile (not Max-Q) are even more expensive: I didn't see any for under £1,600. So if you're not interested in spending that much, and you do want the small upgrade over the 2060, then the Dell is a perfectly reasonable choice. It's not going to run all AAA games on ultra settings, at least not smoothly at 60 fps, but playing a couple games on high settings would likely be totally fine.
And of course all these laptops you've been considering would run Sims 4 on ultra settings, probably at or close to 144 fps, without any trouble at all.
Awesome. I'm torn between the Dell G5 15 and the XMG core 17. So torn. The Dell is on offer atm making it £200 cheaper than the XMG
