Birthday Party Mini-Game in Sims 4

I have this same problem. It's gotta be a glitch. If you're playing a single-Sim household, and they have a birthday, how do you "compliment the birthday sim?" Or "play a game with the birthday sim?" Just because they don't have a roomate to celebrate with doesn't mean they shouldn't be able to throw a gold medal birthday party for themselves....right? :/

toast seems to be a random option in friendly. I've never seen it.

The congratulate the birthday Sim is indeed a bit weird.

Hej :D Im playin sims in danish so im not sure what the actions will b exactly called... buuut :P to "toast" u will need to give two sims a drink in their hand at the same time (can also be juice) and the option "cheers/toast" or whtever its called :P will appear as a "just now" option or u will be able to find it in friendly. If you only have one sim and need to make another sim have a drink as well, u can go into a conversation with them and click ur bar(get one if u dnt already have) and u can order drinks for both you and your friend :D 

About the play a game thing, i have tried playing chess with my birthday sim and one of the guests and that worked fine for me :D 

When all this is said I too think its very hard to get gold, and still havent achieved it. But im sure with the right timing and preparing I will get it soon. 

One thing i do to prepare is, make the birthday cake, plant the candles in it and put it in the frigde. Then I just take it out when its time to blow out the candles, that way no one will eat of it and it can last till i need it. 

In order for the Make Toast option to appear:

1. Both sims have to have a drink in their hands

2. The sims have to be friends

No, toast doesn't work. It should be achieved via the interaction of "Heartfelt Compliment" which is only available in the happy mood.

Toast does work, at least sometimes, and only the sim making the toast need something in their hand. I just did it 5 minutes ago, but it only worked on one character, I didn't get the option on another. It definitely seems to be buggy.
