Blank areas where text should be after latest update

Hi everyone,

I've had an issue with sims 4 after installing the latest update where text is missing from the UI. 

this can be seen for example when I create a new sim and where text should be under each trait it is missing, I have uninstalled all my mods so I have no clue how to fix it or what has caused it 

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
