Bought new Sims and saved game got deleted?

I bought The Sims 4 Spa Day through the Origin Game Face thing, installed it and stuff, went in to play my game and my saved work I did before I went in and bought Spa Day is gone. That was about 3 generations on Sims. Why would it do this? And assuming I can't fix it?

I doubt there's much you can do but if it's only a couple of hours, it's not too bad.

I would play some (like 10 min), then save the game and restart and see if it has properly saved.

If it did, it was probably some random glitch where it didn't save properly.

If it happens on a regular basis, come back.

You mean your save games are no longer showing up ?

Are they still in this folder: documents\electronicarts\thesims4\saves ?

No sorry I mean, I was playing the sims (for about 2-3 hours) before i bought my new game and installed it. I saved and closed my game before installing the new game, once installed went in to continue playing my game from where I left off and it bought me back to where I was the previous day and lost those couple of hours I did. If that makes sense? Sorry,

Sounds your progress wasn't saved properly then.

Was this before or after the patch ? I mean you saving ?

No, sorry, by Patch I mean the update we had on Feb 4th.

Did you play and save the progress before or after that date ?

Yeah I just continued playing again, and it has been saving fine since. Just bummed as I went through a few gens in that time. Oh well. Thank you for your help 🙂

I thought it was only a couple of hours you played ? You went through three generations in a couple hours ?

Yeah big family. I had 3 sims die and their kids grow up and have kids and they were old ready to die off.
