Build mode (grid) is stuck on the second floor

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? I haven't installed any.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Click Build mode and build a room and place furniture inside, then go back to Live mode, and then back to Build mode.
What happens when the bug occurs? When I go back to build mode after building a room on my sim's plot, the floor grid is stuck on the second floor, when I haven't even built a second floor yet. When I try to move my furniture, I can't place it anywhere so I can only click Cancel.
What do you expect to see? I expect to be able to move and place my furniture in the first floor, and for the grid to be where it should be, in the first floor.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Yes
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? No

Hi @pearlisa.  In your screenshot, if you look in the upper right menu on the screen, you'll see an icon with up and down arrows (just to the right of the library icon).  These control which level of the build you are on.  When the game took you to the upper level, did you try clicking the arrow to move down a level?  It looks enabled on your screen.  If so, and if it didn't allow you to move back down a level, I would recommend that you take the following steps, since you have mods/CC: 1) Temporarily remove the Mods folder (you can just cut and paste it to another location), 2) Clear your cache, 3) Repair the game via Origin, 4) start a new save, and 5) test the issue in the new save.  If you do not experience the issue in the new save, then the problem was likely caused by mods/CC or corruption in your game.  You can try putting mods/CC back, one by one, and testing to see which of them was the problem.
