Camera and Cursor Issue
Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.73.48.1030
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? I have all the current EPs, all the GPs apart from Star Wars and Jungle adventure and Stuff Pack are: Backyard Stuff, Cool Kitchen Stuff, Kids Room Stuff, Laundry Day Stuff, Luxury Party Stuff, Movie Hang Out Stuff, Nifty Knitting Stuff, Toddler Stuff, Vintage Glamour Stuff.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? I don't know how to find the bug because it happens as soon as I load the game, I have had it happen both with and without CC and mods.
What happens when the bug occurs? The cursor arrow doesn't change to the normal Sims cursor, the camera rotation when holding right click spins rapidly with not control, changing the shape of features and body parts in CAS goes really quick and doesn't hold properly, when in BB mode I'll use key binds to change the tool I'm using and the cursor doesn't change.
What do you expect to see? The cursor arrow should change to the normal Sims cursor, the camera rotation when holding right click should spin in relation to how I'm moving my mouse, changing the shape of features and body parts in CAS should be in relation to how I'm moving my mouse, when in BB mode I'll use key binds to change the tool I'm using and the cursor should change to the icon of those tools.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure
I had mods and CC in my game when it first happened, then I removed them and repaired my game and the issue still occurs even after the latest update.
@Lou-lu1911 Try disabling any overlays you have running: Steam, Discord, etc. Disable Origin in-game too: hover over your username, select Application Settings, then the Origin in-game header, and disable the option at the top.
That usually takes care of at least the camera spinning too quickly. Please let me know which, if any, issues are still present after you try the above.
