Can’t do anything in live mode

So I just got Discover University and I made a household. I was trying to make 1 of my sims attend university and have the other 2 live off campus, so I went into build mode to add a child’s bed to a starter home. When I went back into live mode, the bottom bar was gone and the bar in the upper right looks like it got stuck in the middle of going back into that mode. Nothing happens when I click gallery, options, etc. and no actions pop up when I click and object or sim. I can move my camera and zoom but that’s it. I can’t even use m to open manage worlds. I have CC in my game so is that the problem?

Also, I decided to just exit my game cause there was nothing else I could do at that point. Would my new household save in my gallery even if I didn’t get the chance to save manually?

Most mods and a lot of CC after the last patch are no longer compatible with the game. CC Tubs/Showers confirmed as broken. MCC was updated today the second time. Kawai all mods need to be updated. The same applies to More CAS Columns mod, Zerbu mods, Little Ms. Sim mods and so on... So if you have any mods or CC
    1. Move the mods folder to the desktop.
    2. Find and delete localthumbcache.package file in the game folder. Delete also all folders with the word "cache" in the name.
    3. Fix the game in Origin.
    Origin/Library - right-click on TS4 - option "Repair game"
You have to wait until Origin will fix all packs, not only the base game.
    4. Turn on the game to create a new, empty mods folder and check if the game is working now properly without mods
    5. Check if there are new updated versions of the mods and CC you are using. (UIC and MCC there are new versions.
Then copy from desktop your mods and CC and paste it in the new mods folder. First, paste script mods one by one every time checking if the game is OK.
Do the same with CC but if you have a lot of this, try the 50/50 method. divide your CC into smaller batches for example 50 pieces in one subfolder and check these subfolders one by one)
