Can’t do anything on game after trying to sell puppies

I can’t save, travel, manage worlds, or modify household or anything since I tried to sell my puppies. They’re still there and everything says I can’t do anything while a sim is leaving my household. I don’t want to just exit the game because I’ve made too much progress since my last save and I really don’t want to do everything over again. Is there a way around this???
