CAN YOU ACTUALLY USE RESIZABLE OBJECTS?

Hello! I have downloaded a room for a nightclub and it has a huge table inside (clearly resized). On top there are (small) tables and chairs and to access this huge table a staircase. Still the sim gets on the huge table and his knees seem to be beneath it, as if it was water. Neither can he go down the stairs which seem to be also under the table , so they cannot be used. Can I use this hugh table for other purposes apart from decoration? This would be very helpful info, thanks
