Thank you for your answer. I’m just worried that the virus will reach our home WiFi and then spread to all devices linked to it. But I’ll probably try to turn it back on. Do you have any tips on how to easy get downloads as cc and mods out of your sims file without bothering the game too much? I just want the original game back

You can easily make sure that the other devices in your network are not in danger, even if you catched a virus.
(And that you did is not certain at all)
There are several ways to do that: (I assume you are on a Windows computer.)
- You could boot into the Bios of you Computer and disable the WIFI network adapter.
- You could use a other computer in your network to log on to your Router and to disable the WIFI for a short time.
Then you could start your computer normally and disable the WIFI inside Windows.
(The safest method)
Both ways would make sure that nothing can be transmitted to other devices in your network.
After the WIFI is disable you can use the Virus scanner of you Computer to search for viruses.
If you want to make absolutely sure, just format the hard drives of the Computer, no computer virus will survive that.
But as said, it is not certain at all that you catched a virus.
